Star trek was the first TV sci-fi series that contained authentic sci-fi ideas in its account. It was created by Gene Roddenberry and aired for three consecutive seasons from September 8, 1966 to September 2, 1969 in the United States of America. Series’ theme portrays the United Federation of Planets and they were on a five-year operation in outer space. During the adventures of the U.S.S. Enterprise they have the aim to discover new worlds, seek new life and new civilizations, and to boldly go where no man has gone before. The Federation of Planets is led by famous character, Captain James T. Kirk. His First Officer and best friend is Mr. Spock from the planet Vulcan, and Kirk’s Medical Officer is Dr. McCoy.
In order to differentiate the initial series of star trek from the other media that portrays events set in the same fictional universe series has gained the title of Star Trek: The Original Series. The United Federation of Planets has approximately 430 members in its crew and with them the Enterprise battles aliens, potent computers, time paradoxes, psychotic murderers, and even Genghis Khan. It was not a fantasy or derelict story to appeal to the perceived ineptness of the audience but infect each episode of star trek had an exciting adventure with a morality story. Many of the issues that were taken up in the plot were truly forward looking. Most of the episodes imitated issues related to the value of personal loyalty, class warfare, economics, religion, human rights, and the role of technology.
